During a meeting of top business leaders from around the world, a man who had consistently had the highest sales figures for the last 20 years, and who made more money than the others in the room could only dream of, got up to speak.

 

“I’m going to reveal the secret of what has made me so successful,” he said.  “I wrote my secret on a piece of paper and have put it in this envelope. But success must be earned.  So, I am going to sell the envelope to the highest bidder.  You have my word that it contains the true secret of my success, as a salesman, but also how I have found success in all aspects my life.”

 

The bidding started slowly…£5, then £10, then £50, then £100, and so it went on.  Finally, one of the business leaders bought the envelope for £1,000.  The happy buyer was ecstatic to receive the envelope and rushed home to open it in private.  Only then did he open it to find out the secret of success.
